In 1999 the paths of two successful international business people crossed.
They both came from a beverage retail background, and felt that something was missing in the beverage industry.
As they discussed this issue further, it became apparent that the concept of an internationally branded iced coffee product, would be both a viable and an exciting project.
Following two years of research, it was decided that a test market should be employed to show if their idea would be successful.
The test phase of the project would eventually be Cyprus; an island in the Eastern Mediterranean that acts as a hub between Western and Eastern cultures.
Being that Cyprus also enjoys a lively tourist trade, it would also mean that multinational values could be researched and studied in the market.
In 2001, the Chino brand was introduced to Cyprus and the rest is history.
The brand rewrote the story of cold beverages in Cyprus and affected sales of the most popular fizzy drinks, juices and energy drinks.
Today Chino has expanded the range of products and is a global success.
